Pillar of Life
The Malqueena
Malqueena's people inhabit an isolated island with towering mountains, cliffs, and ancient caves. Their religious ceremonies are held within these caves. They envision the universe as a dynamic force, much like their island's role in shaping life on Earth. Within a cave stands a massive pillar of rock, in constant motion, symbolizing the churning ocean of life.
This pillar is revered as the dwelling place of Great Spirit, who churns the eternal ocean of life. The islanders believe their land rests upon the great turtle spirit, and the churning is aided by the great serpent spirit
Ancient Cave And Sacred Pillar
Centuries ago, when the people of Malqueena first set foot on the island, they stumbled upon the ancient caves and the monumental pillar. Intrigued by its divine craftsmanship, they began offering prayers, convinced that this awe-inspiring creation was the work of gods themselves.
ALTAR
The ancient caves of Malqueena's island serve as the backdrop for their sacred gatherings. Totem poles rise, adorned with ancestral masks, a tribute to their forebears and a channel to the spiritual realm. Within this space, shamans orchestrate religious ceremonies at the altar, seeking to appease the Great Spirit within the churning pillar of life.
CAVE ENTRANCE
Access to the cave is granted through an entrance carved into the side of a cliff. A multitude of totem poles, adorned with ancestral masks and flags, are positioned by various clans at the doorstep of the entrance.
DWELLING
The inhabitants of island typically craft their residences in the form of tree houses and wooden dwellings, ingeniously built along the cliffside zones. These abodes often bear clan flags and ancestral masks, serving as a tribute to their tribe and forebears.
